QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test suites for web, mobile, and API testing.
• Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects to closure using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ClickUp).
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to ensure timely test planning and execution.
• Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Ensure test coverage, reusability, and maintainability of automation frameworks.
• Document test cases, test plans, and test execution results.

Required Qualifications

• 2–3 years of QA Automation experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java / Python / JavaScript / C#.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium / Cypress / Playwright / Appium.
• Solid understanding of API testing (Postman, RestAssured).
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.
• Understanding of QA methodologies and software testing lifecycle.
• Experience with CI/CD integration of automated tests.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
• Experience with cloud-based test environments (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, AWS Device Farm).
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for test environments.
